You can choose between fixed or swing-away arms. Swing-away arms open 180-degrees and offer convenient cleaning access. Swing-away arms provide you with barrier-free patient access, making them ideal for patient transfers. Each arm can be opened with foot controls located under the arm. Fixed armrests are suitable for general-purpose settings and/or where space is limited.

Every Vero has casters that provide easy movements for cleaning, maintenance, and staging. Two caster sizes are available (3-inch or 5-inch). Casters have a lockable, foot lever release controls. If you intended on using the Vero for in-facility patient transport, the manufacturer recommends the Vero model with 5-inch casters and a footplate, and upgrade the chair to include a push handle (the push handle is an upgrade and does not come standard.)

Patients will appreciate the Vero model with 5-inch casters and a footplate. The footplate is sturdy and weight-bearing. When weight is applied to the footplate, it locks for the patient's safety. Also, the footplate is retractable. A caregiver can pull out/push in the footplate simply by using their own foot.

Trendelenburg models can return patients upright from the Trendelenburg position. A sealed power switch is embedded on the patient's right side for easy access. You can upgrade your Vero to have a power switch on the left side as well, and/or a hand control pendant.

Due to recent changes in the fire safety laws, no flame-resistant chemicals can be added to upholstered parts and furnishings shipping into CA, ME, NH, AK & Washington DC. The law, taking effect as of January 1, 2020, prohibits manufacturers of upholstered furnishings from delivering furnish or using replacement components that contain more than 1,000 ppm of several designated flame-retardant chemicals. Heat and Massage

The Heat and Massage option adds five gentle vibrating massage modes. The massage is accompanied by three heat strengths, low, medium, and high.

Side Tables

There are three table options: standard, premium, and pivot. All tables feature a stain resistant and non-porous material. The standard and premium tables have a lip edge,designed to contain small spills.

Black Urethane Arm Caps

Arm caps provide an upscale and unique appearance. They also add durability.

Push Handle

A push handle is recommended for the Vero model with 5-inch casters and a footplate. This combination is ideal for in-facility patient transport.

Headrest Cover

A Headrest Cover extends the life of the headrest. Covers are available for both sizes of the Vero.

Left Side Power Recline Button

All Veros come standard with the Power Control button located on the patient's right side. If you choose to upgrade your Vero with a left-side Power Recline button, the standard right-side Power Recline button will still be on your Vero. (There will be buttons on both sides.)

Hand Control Pendant

All Veros come standard with the Power Recline button located on the patient's right side. If you choose to upgrade your Vero with a hand control pendant, the standard right-side button will still be on your Vero.

Ultra Vinyl Colors

You can upgrade your Vero's upholstery with one of these custom colors; however, custom colors are not listed in the Buying Options.
