More Information
Customizable Alarm
Choose from 4 different distinct alarm tones that can be chosen in order to not blend in with existing facility alarms. The alarm can sound at your choice of the bedside or nurse station. If preferred, the alarm can sound at both locations.
Records Messages
If preferred, an alarm can sound at the nurse call station, while a recorded message can sound at the bedside. This feature allows a family member or caregiver to record a message, using the built-in microphone. If the fall prevention monitor is triggered, the message can be set to play at the bedside. This feature can be used to remind patients to call for help or to use their mobility device. Messages can be recorded in multiple languages so that the patient understands.
Multiple Monitoring Methods
The Long-Term Care Model allows for 2 different ways of monitoring patient movement, which can be used together or simultaneously. A locking garment clip with string attaches to the patient's clothing and disconnects from the monitor when the patient moves, triggering the alarm. Pressure pads can also be used to monitor movement. There are 2 separate input jacks included on the TABS, one for pressure pad and one for nurse call input jacks. A nurse pull cord is also available on the Tabs, which can be pulled in order to sound an alarm at the nurse call station, signaling that the patient needs assistance. The Acute Care model uses pressure pad monitoring only.
Durable Design
Designed to withstand the rigors of use in a healthcare facility, the TABS Professional Fall Prevention Monitor is made with a rugged case. As one of the most recognized fall prevention monitors in the industry, the TABS professional monitor is considered to be among the highest quality fall prevention monitors available.
Minimizes Human Error and Patient Tampering
The Tabs Professional Fall Prevention Monitor is purposefully built with a simple design in order to reduce the risk of caregiver error and patient tampering. There is no On/Off switch, volume control, or delay switch, which makes operation simple while also increasing patient safety.
Indicates Low Batteries
If the batteries are running low on the Tabs Professional Fall Prevention Monitor, an LED indicator light will illuminate and an audible alarm will sound.
Multiple Mounting Options
Choose from a TABS Professional Fall Prevention Monitor with a wall bracket or wire bed bracket for mounting. With these 2 mounting choices, no Velcro is needed for mounting.
Compatible with Tabs Sensor Pressure Pads
Restraint-free Tabs sensor pads are compatible with the Tabs Professional control unit. Because the pressure pads have a low profile and can be covered by sheets, they are a discreet way to monitor when the patient is on the move. The pads can be placed on a chair, bed, or wheelchair, and the patient can be situated on top of the pressure sensitive pad. When pressure on the sensor pads is initially detected, an alarm will sound, letting the caregiver know the system is operating correctly. When the patient moves off of the pad, an alarm sounds either at the bedside, nurse call station, or at both locations. Once the patient returns to the pad, the pressure pad will reset automatically. Tabs Sensor Pressure Pads are available in chair or bed models.
