Kudu Tilt-in-Space Reclining Wheelchair

The Kudu Tilt-in-Space Reclining Wheelchair has a variety of accessories and customizable features that allow you to ensure the chair meets every individual need of your unique child. Unlike other standard pediatric wheelchairs that are simply adult wheelchairs scaled down to pediatric size, this chair is specifically catered to the proportions and needs of children. The large, solid rear wheels can be positioned in three different horizontal positions, ensuring they are easily accessible and operable for your child to facilitate confident self-propulsion that increases both independence and freedom; the similarly solid front wheels swivel 360 degrees for flexible maneuverability and more precise directional control.

To ensure your child is comfortable and properly positioned, the backrest of the chair reclines up to 30 degrees; thanks to tilt-in-space capability, the entire chair can be tilted back up to 45 degrees. The height and depth of the seat are both adjustable to suit your child½s current height and preferences as well as accommodate future growth. To support the legs and provide reassuring stability, the chair is outfitted with either a one-piece, center-mounted footplate or two independently-adjustable footplates. Both the seat and back feature a thick cushion designed to ensure your child½s comfort and support even when sitting for extended periods of time.

For the caregiver, two push handles are available: the one-piece, angle-adjustable handle, and the two-piece, height-adjustable handle. Both feature grips for comfortable and secure traction, as well as hand brakes that activate either the drum wheel locks or high-mount wheel locks for speed control at your fingertips. A series of accessories are available to further customize the chair; everything from transit anchors that comply with ISO standards to positioning aids such as lateral supports and back wedges ensure that every need is met.
