Jay Union Cushion Design
The Jay Union Cushion is constructed with a stable foam base and dual layer Visco memory foam. This helps to create an ideal amount of softness, pressure relief, and support for the patient. The Visco memory foam is a 1.5in thick layer that is located in the rear seating area. It is designed to mold to the individuals shape without a significant amount of push-back or spring.

Excellent Pressure Distribution and Stability
The Jay Union Cushion will conform to each user's unique pelvic contour which helps distribute pressure evenly across the sitting surface. The contoured base, pelvic loading area, and lateral wedges ensure lateral, anterior, and posterior stability. This wheelchair cushion is ideal for users who want or need a high performance skin protection along with a positioning cushion that doesn't require them to sacrifice comfort and convenience. The middle fluid-layer on this wheelchair cushion is a contoured structural base that includes a pelvic loading area and two lateral pelvic wedges that keep the pelvis and spine aligned while encouraging an upright position.

Dual Cushion Covers
The Jay Union Cushion has an innovative cover system that is designed to protect the cushion at the user's convenience. A waterproof Lycra inner cover is constructed with a 4-way stretchable fabric coated in polyurethane-coating. This cushion cover features an aqua-guard zipper along with anti-wicking seam thread to prevent moisture from reaching the foam and causing bacterial mold. The zipper is designed to use a reverse coil to lock the fluid resistant coating sections together to help with the prevention of leaks.

The anti-wicking seam thread is the same thread that is used in military products such and uniforms and duffle bags. This cover is machine washable and utilizes X-static fiber, antimicrobial, silver-impregnated, and odor-reducing material. X-static silver impregnated fiber fabric is made with 99.9% pure silver, a naturally occurring element. The Jay Union Cushion cover is constructed with a layer of breathable foam that is sewn into the cover and promotes heat and moisture dissipation.

An outer cover includes a handle and a zipper with cover flap. Waterfall seams prevent rubbing and helps to ensure skin integrity. Because the Jay Union Cushion uses 2 covers, the life of the product is extended.
