The EZ-SHAMPOO Inflatable Hair Washing Basin is designed to facilitate comfortable and convenient hair-washing for patients while lying down; this eliminates the need to transfer less ambulatory patients to and from mobility aids or bathing aids. The basin features a dual-tube outer rim for optimal splash protection; an opening in the upper tube provides a place for patients to fit their neck, resting their head on the cushion in the basin in a manner that reduces the risk of water splashing down the patient's neck. The inflatable design means the air level can be adjusted until the patient is most comfortable.

A 30-inch drainage hose is included with the basin, allowing water to be drained even as more is added for a more consistent, shower-like wash. The wide, open basin leaves plenty of room for the caregiver to maneuver around to ensure the patient is completely clean, even for patients with longer, thicker hair. The basin takes up virtually no space when not in use, as it deflates completely flat and can be folded compactly.

What is the best method for inflating the basin?

Answer: To inflate the basin, we recommend blowing it up just like a beach ball, by mouth. But, you can use a foot pump like you would to inflate an air mattress.

How do you drain it?

Answer: The basin comes with a 30 inch hose for draining into a sink or bathtub.

Is there something in the basin that cushions/supports the head?

Answer: Yes, there is an inflatable pillow within the basin. This must be inflated separately and in addition to the basin.

How do you prevent spills?

Answer: The basin features a double-tube design that helps prevent spills and splashes.

Does anyone have problems with this not staying inflated over time?

Answer: It is not intended to stay inflated. After each use, you are supposed to deflate it.
