Smirthwaite Hi-Riser Shower Stretcher

The Smirthwaite Hi-Riser Shower Stretcher is a height-adjustable hygiene aid designed to make bathing and other routines easier and more comfortable for both patient and caregiver. With the touch of a button, caregivers can lower the platform to align with the patient, making it easier for them to transition onto the stretcher; caregivers can then raise the stretcher and the patient up to a more comfortable and ergonomically-sound working height that won't strain their spine and grants them the greatest access to the patient. The stretcher platform is made of a water-resistant vinyl material that is easy to wipe clean and sanitize between users and as needed.

Strategically-located holes in the stretcher allow water to pass through to the containment area, preventing uncomfortable pooling around the patient and making it easier to rinse of soaps. The containment area is equipped with a drain and detachable hose that can be used to funnel water to a pre-existing floor drain. This hose can also be used to funnel water to the shower stretcher, should it be located too far away from a water source. To keep the patient securely on the platform at all times during bathing, a wide side rail sits on the outer edge of the stretcher; it can be conveniently lowered out of the way to prevent the obstruction of transitions onto and off the table. When not in use, the stretcher platform can be flipped up to lay discretely flush against the frame, conserving valuable floor space.
