The Flex-A-Bed Hi-Low SL is the ideal bed for those in home-healthcare, or assisted living environments. In fact, no adjustable bed is more convenient than the Hi-Low SL model. Previous models could lower to a basic height of 26-inches, while the improved Hi-Low SL adjustable bed mattress lowers to an incredible 13.25-inches. The base can be raised and lowered vertically with a touch of a button - making the Hi-Low SL model ideal for customers who require additional assistance when entering or exiting the bed. This new and improved minimum height from the floor reduces pressure on the knees when standing, makes transfers to wheelchairs more accessible, and increases standing confidence for those aging in place or living with a disability.

The Hi-Low SL model is available in twin, full, queen, and dual king in 74, 80 and 84-inch lengths.
The height of the Hi-Low SL model comes standard at 26 inches and can be raised with the hand control to a height of 33 inches. For customers requiring a lower height, the casters can be removed allowing the bed to be adjusted from 24 to 31 inches. Our optional low profile mattress further reduces the minimum height to 21 inches with or 19 inches without casters.
Note: A Flex-a-bed adjustable bed should not be considered as an alternative to a hospital bed. A physician should be consulted when health issues are involved as to the appropriateness of an adjustable bed.
Mattress Types
Our Premier mattress features a beautiful knit fabric quilt panel with a suede border and designer taped edges. The plush, multi-layered, quilted cushion-tops are made with hi-density super-soft polyurethane foam and flame resistant polyester fiber, while the bottom layers are protected by a non-skid material that prevents the mattress from sliding across the adjustable foundation and provides a flame-resistant barrier. Our mattresses are thicker and more luxurious than ever before.

Answer: This bed is available in Twin, Full, and Queen sizes. To purchase this bed, you'll need to select the minimum required options. To do this:
1) Expand the buying group titled "Queen (60in. Wide) Mattress (Required)" and choose your preferred mattress style.
2) Expand the buying group titled "Bed Length (Required)" and choose your preferred length.
3) Expand the buying group titled "Optional Massage Upgrade (Required)" and choose whether you'd like to add massage to your bed. This upgrade is not required, but we still need to know yes/no in order to accurately process your order.
4) Expand the buying group titled "Remote Control (Required)" and choose your remote style.

The height of the Hi-Low SL model 23.25 inches from the floor with a gel top mattress and can be raised with the hand control to a height of 30.75 inches. We recommend the optional low profile mattress to further reduce the minimum height to 18.75 inches with or 16.5 inches without casters. The Hi-Low SL is designed specifically with home healthcare or assisted living environments in mind.
