CROSS Hyper Extension Knee Orthosis Sleeve

The CROSS Hyper Extension Knee Orthosis Sleeve is designed for patients with mild to moderate knee hyperextension caused by neuromuscular disease or injuries. The CROSS is specifically made in order to be used with Allard AFOs for patients who have knee hyperextension with foot drop. The sleeve is easily applied by users who have limited balance or limited hand dexterity thanks to its unique donning aid that is included with each purchase. The donning aid is inserted into an opening in the back of the thigh cuff. Once the sleeve is placed around the foot, the user can easily slide the brace into place using only one hand. The upper cuff is wide and keeps the orthosis open and from folding under its own weight, which would end up making it more difficult to apply. In fact, the entire brace is pre-flexed in an anatomical shape to fit the contours of the leg, provides maximum comfort, and provides guidance for the user to properly apply the brace. The cuff is also a perfect place for the user to adjust the sleeve and ensure the anatomically shaped patella opening is in the correct position. The opening also has a silicone buttress for comfort and cushioning. There is a strategically placed silicone band that helps to prevent movement of the brace while in use. The angle of flexion and extension are easily adjusted with one hand and can be placed in 45, 60, and 75 degrees of flexion and 10, 20, 30, and 40 degrees of extension. Thanks to the wide lower strap, the sleeve resists rigid uprights from moving as hyperextension resistance is being adjusted. The CROSS also features a smooth, low friction liner that adds protection to the skin from irritation and helps the sleeve easily slide over the foot and up to the knee.
