The Citadel 200 Adaptable Bed Patient Therapy System BedFrame is a highly adjustable and intuitive patient bedframe designed to meet the varied needs of any patient that comes through your facility. Its intuitive foundation boasts features such as height-adjustability that can achieve functioning low height and auto-CPR that simultaneously adjusts the mattress and bedframe at the touch of a button; the bed's open-frame design is compatible with the C200 therapeutic support mattress designed specifically for maximum integration with the Citadel system as well as most standard patient mattresses for maximum versatility. The C200 offers independently-adjustable pressure settings within each of the four mattress sections, including constant low pressure, pulsation, and alternating pressure. In addition, an integrated scale allows for quick and easy weighing of patients. An integrated x-ray sleeve ensures the bed is compatible with more examinations; the patient turn-and-hold and continuous 20-degree turn helps caregivers with patient positioning and repositioning. The optional Skin IQ cover continually draws excess moisture away from the surface and patient's skin to keep them cool and try for more controlled microclimate management.
The Citadel's intuitive core boasts features such as positional adjustability including recline and leg elevation and an auto-CPR function that simultaneously adjusts the mattress and bedframe at the touch of a button to reduce shear. In addition to positional adjustments, the frame can be raised or lowered as a whole to sit at a more comfortable working height for the caregiver; unlike other frames with integrated therapy systems, the Citadel can function fully even at its lowest height. To keep patients, caregivers, and equipment safe at all times, an Anti-Entrapment System uses sensors to help prevent the bed lowering onto and potentially crushing any foreign objects that may accidentally come into close contact with the bottom of the frame.
Other safety features include an under-bed nightlight running along both sides of the bed for easier visibility that won't disturb the patient's rest, and a VariZone Patient Movement Detection system that alerts caregivers to patient movement, a feature suited for high-fall-risk patients and those who may injure themselves during recovery. The entire bed comes apart in easily accessible components designed to facilitate comprehensive sanitation to reduce infection risk. Four smooth-rolling, swivel casters ensure the lightweight frame is easy to maneuver both around the patient's room and throughout the facility as needed.
