Trendelenburg Positioning
Trendelenburg acts as a safety feature to enable the caregiver in cases of emergency to lay the back of the chair flat so the user's head is lower than their feet which provides increased blood flow.
Wall-Hugger Mechanism
The Champion 59 Series Relax Recliner saves space while still allowing for infinite adjustability with Champion's Wall-Hugger Mechanism. This feature allows the medical recliner to be positioned close to the wall, even when the chair is in a full recline position. Because the recliner seat moves forward and away from the wall when reclined, there only needs to be about 4" of space behind the chair.
Optional Customizations
The Champion 59 Series Relax Recliner comes in a base model that can be upgraded to meet each medical facility's unique needs. Available in a manual or power model that includes a hand-held remote, the recliner can be customized with break-away arms, fold-away side tables, cup holders, retractable foot tray, heat, massage, CAL 133 fire barrier, vinyl upgrades, battery backup, and dual-hand controls.
