The AmTryke ProSeries 1416 Foot Cycle provides a magnitude of safety and comfort possibilities for each special needs rider. The seat back can be moved up and down and has full trunk support with adjustable lateral supports and chest strap to hold the truck securely and support proper riding posture. The telescoping handlebars are easily adjusted to the height or distance of the rider using the quick-release cam levers.
The medium pommel saddle seat with lap belt provides a comfortable seat that supports the hips and aids the rider in maintaining balance. The sliding seat post moves easily with two hand-ratcheting levers. The seat can be positioned closer to or further from the front of the frame to ensure a comfortable and secure grip on the handlebars and provide comfortable leg room for pedaling. The seat post can be locked into for different positions.
The expanding pedals have two adjustable length (7-10) straps that extend over the foot to keep the foot in a pronated position and to prevent the foot from slipping off of the pedal while riding. The pedals are equipped with a pedal lever pulley that keeps the feet in optimal riding position to prevent injury.
The ProSeries 1416 has a fixed drive to aid riders in making full pedal rotations. The safety steering limiter pin allows the range the handlebars can be rotated to either side to be limited. This is especially helpful when first teaching a child to ride a tricycle or for riders that have difficulty controlling free steering cycles. The safety steering limiter pin has three graduated steering options: straight, 20-degrees left or right, and free steering.
The Amtryke ProSeries 1416 Foot Cycle has a linear caliper handbrake for easy and controlled stopping and slowing down. While parked, the loading brake can be engaged to prevent the tricycle from rolling or shifting while riders are being transferred on and off of the bike.
The steel wire basket provides an area to keep belongings while traveling and storing the helmet while parked. For easy transporting and storage, the front wheel and post of the tricycle easily slide out to make the frame more compact and manageable.
