The AmTryke Community Cruiser Tricycle provides riders with a smooth and enjoyable ride. This therapeutic tricycle is intended for a disabled adult or teen rider and is constructed with a wheelchair seat to better accommodate users with limited lower body mobility. It is equipped with foot positioning platforms that allow the rider to simply rest their feet while using their upper body to propel the cycle. This tricycle incorporates a three-speed Sturmey Archer grip shifter, which ensures a smooth ride, even when riding on slopes and hilly terrains, and features a tight turning radius for easy maneuverability.
This tricycle features a strong, durable rolled steel frame with low seating for easy rider transfer. It has a front hand brake, and a lower center of gravity provides added stability to reduce the risk of tipping. This special needs tricycle also uses a hand-powered coaster brake to provide versatile safety and control options. An easy-slide wheelchair seat features a quilted back and a foam pad for comfort. The front wheel is self-centering, and the 24-inch wheels have smooth tread pneumatic tires. The foot platforms are independently adjustable to fit a variety of sizes by moving up or down, right to left, tip heel or toe up or down. Canted rear wheels add stability, while front and rear safety reflectors make the tricycle and rider more visible. Each AmTryke Community Cruiser Tricycle includes a steel wire basket and safety helmet.
